Maj Gen (Ret) Cassie Strom was born and raised in Nebraska. She received her JD from Creighton University and joined the Air Force in 1984 as a Judge Advocate. She transferred to the Missouri Air National Guard in 1991 and retired in 2015. She spent much of her Guard time training other services and militaries on nation building. In her civilian capacity, she worked in a small general legal practice in Monroe City and with Catholic Legal Assistance Ministry helping immigrants and veterans. Cassie volunteers her time with a variety of veteran organizations. She is most proud of her work supporting women veterans.
