LTC (Ret) Eric Berwanger was born and raised near Boonville, Missouri. He received his BS from the University of Missouri in Agricultural Mechanization in 1987. He joined the US Army Reserves and worked in the engineering and construction fields. Eric was a 5K Instructor Certified CGSOC USAR responsible for teaching, leading and training Army Reserve students. Eric deployed to Al Asad Base, Iraq in support of OIF in 2004 and acted as the base camp master planner; managing the funding and construction of over sixty projects. He retired after 28 years and currently works for Missouri’s Department of Agriculture as a Program Administrator for the Grain Regulatory Services. In his spare time, Eric operates a 212-acre family farm. Eric’s awards include his selection to participate in Missouri’s Leadership Academy.
