Frank Grass

GEN (Ret) Frank Grass was born and raised in Jefferson County, Missouri.  He received an AA from St Louis Community College, a BS from Metropolitan State University and an MS from Missouri State University.  He also received a MS in National Security and Strategic Studies from the National Defense University.  Frank enlisted in the Missouri Army National Guard in 1969 and was commissioned in the Engineer Corps in 1981.  He retired in 2016 at the end of his four-year term as the Chief, National Guard Bureau and a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  Since retiring General Grass volunteers with a variety of youth and academic organizations. He also serves as a senior mentor helping to educate future military leaders primarily focused of responding to crisis in the homeland.
